Located in the San Marco district, the Max Mara Venetian boutique lives in symbiosis with a unique perceptual environment, made up of silent alleys and reflected light from the canals. The architectural intervention respects the strict constraints of the heritage authority, enhancing vaulted ceilings and openings typical of Venetian architecture to welcome the iconic coats, symbols of the brand worldwide. In this space, the absence of vehicle traffic and the city’s pedestrian scale enhance the tactile dimension of materials such as cashmere and wool and the fluidity of silk. The uniqueness of Made in Italy and the rigour of the Italian fashion house blend with Istrian stone and Venice’s millennia-old history, creating an atmosphere where fashion becomes an extension of the monumental landscape. Each piece is designed to move naturally between the alleys and historic buildings surrounding San Marco.
